Karrebæksminde Triatlon 2015: Post Race Report

The Swimmer and his dad represented Team Sangria at the first ever Karrebæksminde Triatlon 2015, which was held on the 5th of June 2015. A beautiful summer day in the heart of the small town of Karrebæksminde, near the city of Næstved.

Fifth out of the water, in an okay time, was The Swimmer, having gone out of course between the first and second buoy. A quick T1 and out on the bike course, pushing hard the first 20km. After having pushed 50 watts above the half Ironman race pace (following the race plan), the speed was lowered and the last 25km was done in a steady tempo. This in order for the run to be a better experience then Mallorca 70.3. Running is however still not a stellar discipline for The Swimmer! He did find a rhythm that did not push him close to the limited and should be more then comfortable for the half Ironman on the 21st of June in Kronborg.
